The Esquire Network has been given an official launch date. The network will be taking the reigns of G4 in September, a launch that coincides with the magazine’s 80th anniversary.
On September 23, the Esquire Network will launch with a two-hour special to celebrate the magazine’s 80th anniversary. A special anniversary issue of the magazine will hit stands in October.
“As Esquire magazine reaches such a significant milestone, it only seems fitting that Esquire Network kick off by celebrating the rich legacy of the iconic brand,” Adam Stotsky, the network’s GM, said in a statement. “And we will build on this unparalleled 80-year history with a new primetime lineup featuring compelling original programming that hits on the wide-ranging interests, aspirations and passions of men today.”
Esquire Network’s lineup will include cooking competition “Knife Fight,” Anthony Bourdain‘s travel show “The Getaway,” lifestyle series “How I Rock It,” “American Field Trip,” and New York real estate show “Risky Listing.” The network is also working on two new series, “Brew Dogs” about the fastest growing brewery in the UK and “Horse Players,” a series following professional horse racing handicappers.
