Elton John thinks it’s a shame that Donna Summer was never inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Speaking with E! Online, the legendary entertainer said, “This woman was the queen of disco and so much more. Her records sound as good today as they ever did. That she has never been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a total disgrace, especially when I see the second-rate talent that has been inducted.”
While John didn’t specifically name the musicians he referred to as “second-rate,” many speculate that he could be talking about Madonna, with whom he has a bitter feud. Before her Super Bowl performance this year, John had some sarcastic advice for her: “Make sure you lip-sync good.” The Material Girl was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008.
