Elton John and husband David Furnish have welcomed their second child together. The longtime couple are now the proud parents of son Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John.
Elijah was born in Los Angeles at 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 11, via a surrogate. The little guy weighed in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces. The happy couple released the following joint statement. “Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable.”
The statement continued, “The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.”
Elijah’s big brother, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, was born on Dec. 25, 2010.
