“There’s definitely a reason why I went to so many acting conservatories,” she said. “The more I trained, the less people could say, ‘Oh, she’s just so-and-so’s sister.’ They can still say that, sure — I have no control over that — but at least I know I’ve worked hard. There was definitely a time when I overcompensated, but I’m kind of over that.”
She also believes it’s important to be single: “It’s made me appreciate the things that I need to feel fulfilled. Sometimes, when I’m in a relationship, I get so excited to be around the other person that I forget to indulge the things that I need to be happy on a day-to-day basis. Or at least I did — I’m such a different person now than I was two years ago.”
