Motherhood isn’t the only new role in Drew Barrymore‘s future: The actress has also been tapped to step into the role of director for the upcoming film “The End.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barrymore will not be taking on an acting role in the film to focus her efforts entirely on directing.
The film has a multi-arc storyline that follows the separate lives of several characters and how they spend their last day on earth. From a radio personality who refuses to leave the airwaves to a young couple being torn apart by their family, the film is sure to strike a chord with many viewers. Don’t let the synopsis bring you down, though: In true Drew fashion, the film will be a celebration of life rather than a focus on death. With Barrymore at the helm, there’s little doubt the apocalypse will be holding a flower in its hand to soften the blow.
