Donna Summer‘s legacy will be remembered in an upcoming remix album. Called “Love to Love you Donna,” the album will be released through Verve Records and is being produced by Dahlia-Amback Caplin and Randall Poster.
The upcoming album will feature remixes of Summer’s classic and most memorable songs, including “Love to Love You Baby,” “Hot Stuff” and “Sunset People.”
Apparently, the album was first conceived as a tribute album but ultimately turned into a remix album as more of Summer’s past collaborators became involved.
Summer’s career garnered 32 singles on the Hot 100 chart, with 14 reaching top 10 before she passed in May 2012. She managed to have a top 40 hit for every year between 1976 and 1984 and between 1976 and 1982, she had a total of 12 top 10 hits, more than any other musician at the time.
“Love to Love You Donna” will be released on October 22.
