According to TVLine, Lovato’s character will be a significant arc — a girl named Dani who is a struggling artist in New York City and befriends Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera). It is said that she will have several interactions with Adam Lambert’s new character and the two will even perform a few songs together.
If the deal goes through, Lovato will appear in at least six episodes of “Glee,” including the second episode in season five, which will be part two of their Beatles’ tribute.
The part will mark Lovato’s first major role since her Disney show “Sonny with a Chance” ended two years ago. After seeking treatment at rehab, Lovato decided it was best she concentrated her efforts on her music career. She has also appeared in episodes of “Prison Break” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Her other television credits includes her role as judge on the “X Factor.”
“Glee” returns to Fox on September 26 at 9pm.
