Sad news out of Hollywood: Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have announced their decision to separate after 30 years of marriage. A rep for the actors confirmed the split but said no further details would be provided.
The comedic couple have actually been together for four decades, having met in 1970 and lived together for 11 years. They married in January 1982, around the same time that Perlman landed the role that would define her career: Carla on the hit television series “Cheers.” The pair have three children together: Lucy, 29, Grace, 27, and Jacob, 24.
DeVito is currently enjoying success on the FX series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” which launches its ninth season on October 11.
