“The Wonder Years” star Danica McKellar and her husband of three years, composer Mike Verta, are divorcing. McKellar announced the news on her blog, writing, “The end of a marriage has got to be one of the saddest events one can experience — I’ve heard that the pain is second only to an actual death in the family, and that sounds about right.”
McKellar went on to praise her “amicable” relationship with Verta and expressed their belief that divorcing is the best option for parenting their young son Draco. “We are both totally in love with our little boy and believe this is the best thing for him,” she wrote.
McKellar also thanked her friends and fans for their support. How do you feel about celebrities communicating directly with fans through their blogs and social media, as opposed to using the press to disseminate personal news?
