Model Christy Turlington proves through her cover and editorial in the Spring/Summer 2012 issue of The Gentlewoman that she can still hang with today’s twentysomething top models. Captured in a bra and high-waisted pants, Christy gets a chance to discuss how she started her career, her love for Twitter, charity work and Every Mother Counts, an advocacy group for which she produced her 2010 documentary, “No Woman, No Cry.”
“I don’t find politics the most effective way to do what I do,” confessed the 43-year-old. “But I am positive, optimistic. When people say it’s hard to effect real change, I think that’s bullsh*t! We need reform. You can’t just wait for Washington.”
