Christina Ricci is a high fashion beauty in The Edit magazine. The actress talks to the magazine about her own fashion evolution and becoming more comfortable with her style as she gets older.
Ricci reminisces purchasing her own gown at Barney’s for the 1997 Cannes Film Festival. She was just 17-years-old at the time and, looking back, Ricci says it wasn’t one of her finer moments. However, in her twenties and now her thirties, she seems to have found her own sense of style.
“I got smaller and more comfortable with myself. It was a gradual thing. As I got older, I became more like my mother,” Ricci said. “I began to wear what I wanted to wear. I’m finding I don’t want to stick to my rigid rules any more. Now I think, ‘Well, I’ve never worn those kind of pants before – let’s try them!’ I do have this mentality of trying to dress older. I find people treat me more seriously if I’m well-dressed and put together.”
