“Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks may be a sex symbol today, but it wasn’t so long ago that she was bullied for her appearance.
“My school days were pretty unhappy,” she admitted in a new interview with the Mirror. “I had the worst high school experience ever. I went to a very mean school and was bullied like crazy. I was a bit of a goth with purple hair and I was also part of the drama group, so my friends and I were all ‘weird theatre people’ and everyone just hated us.”
Hendricks was born in Tennessee, grew up in Idaho and moved to Virginia as a teenager. She said that she dyed her hair crazy colors as a youngster to express herself and set herself apart from others. “Kids can be pretty judgmental about people who are different,” she mused. Are you surprised that Hendricks was a goth?

A lot of great people were bullied in high school. So being bullied doesn’t mean you won’t get successful. But anyway, somehow I’m not surprised of christina being bullied in school, heh
Wow, I didn’t know this. But why? Christina is a great person. I love her so much. She is a very good actress and I am absolutely sure she is the same in real life.
Unfortunately, bullying is very often met in high schools nowadays. In my opinion, kids should be aware that this is a very bad thing. I’ve seen people traumatized by it.
