Choose Your Own Adventure: Pitt Rebuffed! Or Maybe Not!

Waves of shock and disbelief are echoing throughout Hollywood today as the most dumbfounding, inconceivable story in the history of the universe hits US Weekly: Brad Pitt was rejected!!! By a woman!!!

Or not, says Star. God, will these gossip rags please stop toying with our emotions?

More details are surfacing regarding the earlier tale of Brad and Maxim model April Florio getting ice cream together. Like all good D-list celebs, April has opened up to good ole reliable US Weekly. She claims that Brad first came on to her last August, when she was auditioning for Troy: "He tried to kiss me, but I shied away." She later met up with him three times in L.A. and New York, trips Brad paid for. "He was attracted to me. We drank wine and chatted." When she rejected his advances, Florio says, "He was shocked. He asked me why. I told him I did not want to get involved with someone in the industry." Florio also gives some insight into the Brad-Jen split: "He hated his wife's chain-smoking. He also hated the fact that she liked to hang with her friends or just stay at home. He liked to go to parties more." And what of Brad and Angelina Jolie, April? "He talked about her like she was a goddess."

But what's a big, fat, juicy, meaty morsel of gossip without a total denial? Star's telling us that US Weekly made all that bullshit up. In a statement given to Star, April Florio says, "The direct quotes that are supposedly from me in the magazine article are totally fabricated. That is NOT me in the photographs of a woman with Brad Pitt in Greece in 2004. And I'm not even sure it's Brad Pitt, either. I met Brad Pitt only once, very briefly, at a party. Would he remember me? Probably not." Brad's lawyer also categorically denies the claims: "We don't really know who is responsible for these stupid, absolutely untrue, fabricated stories. For now, Brad is exploring all his legal options."
