Cher revealed that she and Lady Gaga recorded a collaboration for her upcoming album, but the song didn’t quite meet Gaga’s standards. The song will not appear on Cher’s new album because Gaga wasn’t happy with the end result.
“I did a song with GaGa and I think it’s brilliant and I thought her performance was great but she doesn’t like it,” Cher said.
Not to worry though, Cher said the rest of her album, which as the working title of “Closer to the Truth,” will be full of fun tracks.
“The songs are really good. They’re dance songs but they’re kind of fun. There are some tongue-in-cheek songs… there’s some really sad songs. One is Pink’s and it’s called ‘Lie To Me’. My friend from the Scissor Sisters Jason (Jake Shears)… he’s on ‘Take It Like A Man’. I’m really proud of it.”
“Closer to the Truth” will be available on September 24. You can pre-order the album on iTunes now.
