In a YouTube video titled, “Don’t Let Mitt Turn Back Time on Women’s Rights,” Cher states, “There’s a lot at stake for women and people who like and respect women.”
The video goes on to target U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mourdock, who said pregnancies resulting from rape were part of God’s plan. The video also targets Senate candidate Todd Akin, who said a woman’s body could prevent pregnancy in instances of “legitimate rape.”
Before supporters of Governor Romney get too concerned, celebrity endorsements or denouncements of a candidate seem to matter little when it comes to changing voter’s minds. In fact, a poll conducted by The Hollywood Reporter found Cher to be the fifth least credible celebrity around when it comes to matters of politics.
Regardless of what you believe, here’s hoping you’re heading to the polls on this important day.
