Charlize Theron and Brad Pitt both cover the February issue of W magazine, but Theron’s cover wins out in the glamour department. The “Young Adult” actress is absolutely stunning in her Mario Sorrenti-lensed cover and editorial, wearing fashion from Bottega Veneta, Marchesa, Dior and Oscar de la Renta.
Surprisingly, Theron wasn’t always the breathtaking beauty she is today. “For the first eight years of my life, I didn’t have front teeth,” she admitted. “I was pretty sick as an infant, and antibiotics rotted them.”
Charlize Theron also shared an “unsexy” trait she added to her character Mavis: the gel-filled “cutlets” she uses in real life to augment her bustline. “If you don’t have boobs, you wear those cutlets,” she explained. “It’s just the most bizarre, unsexy thing there is — so I added that to Mavis.”
So did she like Mavis — a character who was generally unlikable? “I liked Mavis. In ‘Young Adult,’ I wanted to show some cringe-worthy moments that only women will get.” Check out her accompanying editorial below.
