Winning, indeed! Charlie Sheen showed a softer side of himself (the side that explains why Denise Richards fell in love and had two beautiful daughters with him) by putting some major support behind US troops.
The former warlock has stepped up to offer at least $1 million to the United Service Organization. It will be the largest single contribution the USO has ever received from an individual.
The way the donation will work is that Sheen will donate 1 percent of his earnings from his new television series “Anger Management.” At minimum, he vows $1 million. The more he makes from the show, the more he donates to the USO. He is not putting a cap in place for the amount to be donated, so the sky’s the limit.
“It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us,” said Sheen in a statement. “They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on ‘Anger Management’ can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.”
