Celine Dion dazzles on the cover of Vegas magazine. It seems perfectly fitting since the Canadian-born superstar has made the city her home.
As Dion herself explains, “When we came here the first time, the vibes were negative — ‘Oh my God, the Titanic is coming and it’s going to sink.’ But a lot of people were willing to bet a lot of money on me and to take a chance. Is there any better place to take a chance than Vegas?’”
Now the singer is preparing to release her upcoming album, “Water and a Flame.” “I hadn’t recorded in five or six years, but you go into the studio and you try to capture the emotions of the songs, and make them go through the microphone and have an impact on the people.”
How does she stay grounded? “My kids give me the balance to live right. The hardest thing to find in life is balance. Especially the more success you have, the more you look to the other side of the gate.”
