Hugo Weaving (“The Matrix,” “V for Vendetta,” “The Lord of the Rings,” “Captain America”, “Transformers”), David Wenham (“300,” “Van Helsing”) and two-time Oscar nominee Emily Watson (“Breaking the Waves,” “Punch Drunk Love,” “Corpse Bride,” “Red Dragon”) star in the true story adaptation “Oranges & Sunshine,” which begins its US theatrical release on 28 October, 2011.

The film is produced by “The King’s Speech’s” Oscar-winning Emile Sherman and Iain Canning, is directed by British television director Jim Loach and is about the forced transportation of children in orphanages (often away from their parents in the UK) to a new life in Australia where they were raised in often tragic circumstances without knowledge of their family, and the one woman seeking to rectify the effect of the buried secrets.

Celebs.com’s Angela Bakke sat down for a chat in Los Angeles with the star of the film, Emily Watson, no stranger to provocative and powerful films.
