“Carrie and Brad are the consummate hosts,” Ed Hardy, president of the CMA board of directors, said in a press release. “They have the respect of our industry, artistic credibility, critical acclaim and a quick-witted, genuine rapport that makes them popular with our audience and the viewers at home. We are delighted to have them back as hosts for the sixth year.”
It’s likely that Underwood and Paisley will perform a duet at the upcoming awards show and will surely poke fun and their fellow country music stars.
Both Paisley and Underwood have been big CMA winners in the past. Paisley has won 14 CMA Awards in his career and Underwood has won five.
The 47th CMA Awards will take place on November 6 in Nashville. The show will air on ABC at 8pm.
