Carrie Ann Inaba of “Dancing With the Stars” has just signed on to host the 26th Genesis Awards by The Humane Society of the United States. The annual awards show honors films, media outlets and news organizations that advocate for and raise awareness of animal protection issues.
“Carrie Ann is the ideal host for the Genesis Awards,” said Beverly Kaskey, executive producer of the Genesis Awards. “She has energy, personality, beauty and, most of all, she really cares about the animal protection cause.”
Bill Maher and Kaley Cuoco are among the Genesis Awards’ confirmed celebrity presenters. The awards show will air on Animal Planet in May 2012 as a television special; nominations will be announced in February.
