Carey Mulligan turned heads in the Prada gown she wore to the 2012 Costume Institute Gala in New York City, but she’s auctioning off the couture dress for charity. Proceeds from its sale will go directly to Oxfam America.
The silver-and-gold halter gown is covered in metal paillettes that have been applied like scales. It’s sized between 38 and 40, which translates to between a size 8 and a size 10, and is worth about $4,000. Mulligan wore the Prada dress to co-chair the gala alongside Miuccia Prada and Anna Wintour.
How much do you think Carey Mulligan’s Costume Institute Gala dress will fetch at the charity auction?
