Cameron Diaz wants to write a nutrition book targeted at teen girls. The tome won’t have a thing to do with dieting or her own eating plan; instead, it’ll focus on proper nutrition and healthy living.
“She wants to stop their fixation on being thin, and for teenage girls to understand that being healthy is more important,” said a publishing source to E! News. “This book is not about weight, it’s about making the right choices.”
The source adds that although Diaz hasn’t yet signed a formal publishing contract, she has a literary agent and is hoping to have a deal soon. The actress will also include insight from her famous friends in the book, like Jennifer Lopez, Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Cameron Diaz has also expressed interest in following Jamie Oliver‘s lead and tackling unhealthy school lunches. “Cameron is going to be visiting high schools around the country to talk to teenagers about their food choices and what is important to them,” the publishing source explained. “Through this project, she wants schools to offer better meal options for kids.”
