Sarah Michelle Gellar has agreed to play the role of a porn star in Donnie Darko writer/director Richard Kelly's new movie Southland Tales. And Moby will be doing the score. And Sarah will be starring opposite Stifler and The Rock. And it's listed as being a "musical/comedy/thriller". And we'd write more but we were just struck with an acute, intense case of post-post-irony and we have to go to the nurse's office to lie down for a spell.
According to several reports, the plot goes a little like this: Buffy star Gellar is a porn star named Krysta Now who is developing her own reality show. The Rock is an action star with amnesia. Stifler is a policeman who "holds the key to a vast conspiracy" and all their lives intertwine during a three-day heat wave in Los Angeles, 2008 which culminates in a citywide Fourth of July party. And if that isn't enough to get the Napoleon Dynamite crowd whizzing their drawers, director Kelly is allegedly writing a prequel to this movie, which will run as six graphic novels, a rather pukey premise, to be sure, but we're still planning on buying 30 copies because that shit is gonna be eBay gold!
