Bret Michaels’s health has taken a turn for the worse, PEOPLE has learned: After an excruciating headache late Thursday night, the star was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem), according to a source close to the situation.
Michaels, 47, is currently in critical condition. “After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation,” the source says.
Christ, you’d think that kicky banana would keep his brains intact. Get well soon, you pouting, stripper-loving man.

It is the Diabetes… I had a couple of Stroke like episodes when my blood sugar dropped below 50 a while back… Changed my meds and never had the issue again! (thus far… knock wood!)
I was lucky… both times my wif was just leaving for work and she poured two bottles of the Glucose Solution down my throat or I would be in very bad shape!
Weird headache… top of my head… not like the Rain Headaches I get!!!

I hate to be churlish, but I bet this is 50% PR. You can have minor aneurysms and not even know it; they only show up on CAT scans.
