TLC’s “Breaking Amish” is about to begin its second season, which will actually make way for a new spinoff. The new show will be titled “Breaking Amish: A Brave New World.”
The new show will include all five of the original cast members in the series’ rebranded second season. Abe, Rebecca, Kate, Sabrina and Jeremiah are starting new lives in Sarasota, Florida, where their culture shock will continue. The new season of the show will see the cast members coming across new enemies, love triangles, financial issues and even more familial drama.
With the original cast taking on their own version of the show, “Breaking Amish” will premiere with a new group of cast members – three new women and four new men.
“The ‘Breaking Amish’ franchise is a remarkable look at individuals facing a critical crossroads in their lives: whether to pursue the dreams they’ve always had or stay in the only life they’ve ever known,” TLC GM Amy Winter told The Hollywood Reporter. “Both iterations of the series follow a group of young men and women on their own journeys of self-discovery, complex relationships and understanding the world around them.”
Production on “Breaking Amish” will begin later this spring and will premiere in late summer. “Breaking Amish: A Brave New World” will premiere on TLC on May 12 at 10pm.
