Brad Pitt‘s performances in “Moneyball” and “The Tree of Life” will be honored with the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award at the upcoming Palm Springs International Film Festival.
“Brad Pitt consistently mesmerizes audiences with the depth and versatility of his performances,” said Harold Matzner, the chairman of the PSIFF. “He has the rare ability to interpret and capture the most complicated facets of human nature, infusing his roles with strength and emotion.”
Past recipients of the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award include Sean Penn, Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth, John Travolta and Daniel Day-Lewis. The 2012 PSIFF will take place on Jan 7. and is presented by Cartier.
