Beyonce is joining forces with Gucci for the fashion house’s new campaign promoting their female empowerment charity. The charity, called Time for Change, will have Beyonce and actress Salma Hayek teaming up to raise money and awareness by sharing stories of empowerment for girls and women all over the world.
Gucci’s new movement has three main objectives — education, health and justice.
“I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women,” Beyonce said in a statement. “Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be. It’s up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I’m honored to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies.”
Along with heading the campaign with Beyonce, Hayek will be executive producing ten short films about inspirational stories of females around the world.
“I am proud to be joining the growing international movement on behalf of girls and women around the world,” Hayek said. “I believe that by working together we can change the course of history to ensure that girls and women are empowered to realize their potential and thrive.”
