Betty White will get a TV special for her 90th birthday in January. The lovable and legendary actress will be honored on NBC with a celebrity-packed dinner party. Details are scant on the special, but TV Guide writer William Keck predicts tributes from White’s costars on “Hot in Cleveland” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”
Jon Macks, Steve Ridgeway and Brad Lachman will be the executive producers of the show; their credits include the Academy Awards and “The Tonight Show.” White’s birthday is Jan. 17, so expect the special to air near that date.
Betty White’s 90th birthday celebrations don’t end with her TV special, though. “Hot in Cleveland” will also have a birthday episode for White’s character Elka Ostrovsky.
