Ben Foster is in final talks to play Lance Armstrong in an upcoming biopic. The still unnamed project will follow Armstrong through his battle with testicular cancer in the ’90s, to his career fall after admitting to using performance-enhacing drugs. The film will be directed by Stephen Frears.
Foster is well-known on the big screen for his roles in “The Messenger and “3:10 to Yuma.” He is also making a name for himself on Broadway, as he recently starred opposite Alec Baldwin in “The Orphans.” His other upcoming projects include “Ain’t Them Bodies,” and “Kill Your Darlings.”
Foster won’t be the only actor playing Armstrong in the coming years — there are already three biopics in the works. J.J. Abrams will be producing one based on the book titled, “Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong,” and Warner Brothers also has a biopic in the works.
Do you think Foster will make a good Lance Armstrong?
