Ben Affleck’s critically acclaimed film “Argo” will be honored at the Palm Springs International Film Festival with an ensemble award. The film stars an incredible cast including Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman and Tate Donovan.
Festival Chairman Harold Matzner explained, “‘Argo’ features a plethora of colorful characters brought to life by an outstanding acting ensemble. Directing what is, unquestionably, his most accomplished film to date, Ben Affleck leads an extraordinary cast, also including Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston, each of whom delivers powerhouse performances. The Palm Springs International Film Festival is proud to present the entire cast of Argo with the 2013 Ensemble Performance Award.”
The film has received a great deal of Oscar buzz since premiering at the Toronto Film Festival in early September. It has since gone on to earn more than 100 million dollars at the U.S. box office.
The cast will be present when the award is presented to them on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
