Barbara Walters will be returning to her daytime talk show “The View” next week after a month-long absence full of bumps, bruises and illness. Walters was hospitalized after taking a fall during the inauguration weekend. Shortly after she was diagnosed with chicken pox.
“Like it or not, I’m coming back to the show again,” Walters jokingly told her co-hosts during a live call to the show on Tuesday morning. “No more chicken pox… I haven’t been contagious for a while, but they wanted me to have rest, and I’ve had enough rest and I’m ready to come back.”
Back in January at President Obama’s inauguration, Walters fainted, fell and hit her head. The fall resulted in 6 stitches to her temple and a concussion. It was just six days later on January 28 that she was diagnosed with chicken pox.
Walters will return to “The View” on March 4.
