Patridge will travel around the U.S., looking for new and trendy travel destinations, nightlife and restaurants. “The Hills” alum says she has always wanted a career as a television host and was already a fan of “1st Look.”
“It’s one of my dream jobs because I love doing different adventures, and I have a passion for trying just about anything, which fits what this show is about,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I get to bring the audience with me on this journey, and I can’t wait.”
She adds that she will have a focus on fitness and will also follow Olympic athletes as they train for the upcoming games. She will also spend two episodes going behind-the-scenes at the Golden Globes.
“It’s an all-access pass — everything from movie production to the best dresses to makeup,” she said. “I’ll also be going to amazing restaurants that no one has ever really heard of, and I’ll get to experience how to cook certain things with the chefs. The show covers pretty much the whole range [of travel-themed topics]. There’s so much to offer for everyone.”
Fedotowsky will continue to host the show through the fall 2013 season. Next year, she will begin her post as a full-time E! News correspondent.
Patridge will make her “1st Look” debut on January 4, following “Saturday Night Live” on 10 NBC-owned stations around the country. The show will air in New York, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco, Washington, Miami, San Diego and Connecticut.
