Auction Update: Bela Lugosi Dracula Cape, Judy Garland’s Ruby Slippers Go Under the Hammer

Celebrity memorabilia collectors might want to make plans to attend the Profiles in History auction in December: the Bela Lugosi Dracula cape and the final pair of screen-used Judy Garland ruby slippers are just two of the marquee items available for bidders. The cape was consigned by Bela Lugosi Jr., who has had it since 1981; it’s expected to attract up to $2 million.

Other items that will be offered up at the Profiles in History auction are an Earl Moran nude painting of Marilyn Monroe, the wedding ring Monroe wore during her marriage to Joe DiMaggio, and the DeLorean sports car used in “Back to the Future III.”

Joe Maddalena, the founder of Profiles in History, can also be seen on the small screen in SyFy’s “Hollywood Treasure.”
