Arsenio Hall is preparing for his much-overdue return to television and he’s dishing on his celebrity guest wishlist.
Before you 90′s era dog pound fans get too excited, Hall’s return is still nearly a year away. The former prince of late-night is set to hit the airwaves in the Fall of 2013 on the heels of his victorious comeback on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice.”
The Hollywood Reporter quotes Hall as saying, “I wouldn’t mind having Bill Clinton again; having Clinton, the big dog of the Democratic Party, will be fun. I would like to have Clinton play horn while Jay-Z raps. That would be a good first night.” For those who are too young to remember, Clinton appeared (and played the saxophone) on Hall’s show in 1992 when he was running for election.
The soon-to-be born-again talk show host also spoke about his past and future TV endeavors. “The bottom line is: Never burn a bridge, because you might want to go home.” He then went on to say, “In talk shows, you just reach out and choose a channel with a guy you like, with a guy you feel like going to bed that night. ‘I want to go to bed with (Jimmy) Fallon tonight, I want to go to bed with Chelsea (Handler) tonight.’ You will make your choice,” Hall joked.
TBS will air Hall’s late-night show next fall.
