Back in the early ’90s, I would always get Amy Locane confused with Ami Dolenz. I could only keep them straight was that Locane was in Cry-Baby and Dolenz was in She’s Out of Control. But now my confusion is doubled because Amy Locane is also out of control. Especially when it comes to drinking a bunch of booze then getting into her car and killing somebody. Popeater says:
Melrose Place actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer has been charged with vehicular homicide following a wine-fueled crash Sunday night in Montgomery, New Jersey, that left one woman dead and a man in critical condition.
Locane-Bovenizer was involved in a hit-and-run collision near Princeton with an unrelated car at around 9 PM Sunday. While attempting to leave the scene of that accident, she slammed her 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe into the passenger side of another vehicle, killing Helene Seeman. The driver of the car, Fred Seeman, was flown to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition as of Monday afternoon.
In Princeton, just miles away from the fatal crash in Montgomery, the 38-year-old actress rear-ended a different vehicle, Somerset County Acting Prosecutor said in a statement. Locane-Bovenizer fled the scene when the driver of that car attempted to call for help, so he followed her, telling police that the actress was “swerving and knocking down several mailboxes.”
Right now, Rebecca Gayheart, Brandy, and Vince Neil are baking brownies and a casserole to welcome Amy to their club.
