Amber Tamblyn has been promoted to a series regular on “Two and a Half Men.” The actress originally joined the series in season 11 has a recurring guest star, playing the long-lost daughter of Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen). After filming five episodes, Tamblyn has been promoted to series regular to fill the void Angus T. Jones left behind.
Tamblyn’s character Jenny moves to LA to pursue a career in acting and to connect with her family. It turns out, Tamblyn is very much so like her father, including in her own taste in women.
Jones’ role was reduced to recurring guest star for season 11 as the 19-year-old enrolled in college. However, his reduced role may also have something to do with the mini breakdown Jones had last year over his role on the show, pleading with viewers of his online video to stop watching the show, calling it “filth.” However, creator of “Two and a Half Men” Chuck Lorre said he supported Jones’ enrollment in college, saying the actor had spent most of his childhood in front of a camera.
