Adele drew a standing ovation at last night’s Grammy Awards for her gorgeous rendition of “Rolling in the Deep,” but in the March 2012 issue of Vogue, the singer proved she also has potential as a cover model.
The accompanying Vogue profile is, appropriately enough, called “One and Only.” For starters, don’t hold your breath on an Adele fragrance or movie. “I am the worst actress of all time,” she announced. “I’m like a f*cking cardboard box! I’m awful. No, I have absolutely no intention of going into acting or making perfumes. I am a singer. I will stick to what I am good at and not spread myself thin and become mediocre at everything I do.”
After she makes up the shows that she canceled last year, Adele plans to dip out of the spotlight for awhile. “I want to evolve as an artist,” she explained. “There’s so much music I don’t know about yet. I want to go on the road with my friends who are artists. I want to go and see things as a fan again. I am a fan, but I can’t remember what it feels like to be a fan anymore. Because I’ve become an artist. I’ve become the artist.”
