The soulful-voiced singer has announced with much sadness that she’s canceling her U.S. tour due to health problems.
In a long entry on her official blog, Adele pours as much heart into an apology as she does into her songs, saying that she’s been forced to call off her American dates after suffering a vocal cord hemorrhage.
“I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever,” she writes. “I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this.
“My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I’m gonna be starting up vocal rehab as soon as, and start building my overall stamina in my voice, body and mind. I will be back and I’m gonna smash the ball out the park once I’m touring again. I apologize from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do.”
Adele isn’t the only singer suffering from serious throat issues lately. John Mayer also recently announced that his next album will be delayed due to a granuloma.
