“Pretty Little Liars” is getting a spinoff that will premiere this October. Called “Ravenswood,” the show will take place in a town that neighbours Rosewood. But instead of mysterious deaths, this new town will suffer from a curse.
“Ravenswood” follows five strangers who suddenly find themselves connected through a mysterious curse. Together, they have to search through the history of their town to find the answers that could save them all.
“‘Pretty Little Liars’ is brand-defining and demo-defining for ABC Family,” said Michael Riley, channel president for ABC Family. “We are proud to be able to grow the ‘PLL’ franchise in two ways — both by adding additional seasons of the original and by extending the storytelling into a spinoff. ‘Ravenswood’ will become another must-tweet TV series for us.”
“Ravenswood” will premiere after the “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween episode in October. ABC has already given ‘PLL’ the green light for a fifth season, just days after the season three finale. Season four of “Pretty Little Liars” will premiere on June 11.
