Gwen Stefani and No DoubtBack in 2009, No Doubt filed suit against video game maker Activision for misusing their likenesses in Band Hero, and we now have news that the case will go to trial.

Gwen Stefani and Co. said that a few of the game’s possible manipulations — including the ability to have Gwen’s avatar sing with a male voice and her bandmates to sing with female voices — violated their publicity rights and transformed them into “a virtual karaoke circus act.”

Activision petitioned the court to throw out the case, but a judge recently denied that petition. A company representative said that the judge’s decision “simply means that there are disputed facts and we look forward to trying the case in the courtroom.”

Channing Tatum is Smoldering on the Cover of Out (Photo Gallery)

Channing Tatum in Out Magazine“Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum plays to his strengths in the latest issue of Out magazine. The 32-year-old actor, who used to be a stripper, opens up to the magazine about being a male stripper and having to take your clothes off.

“I was definitely looking for something to take me into the dark side,” he said. “You learn something about yourself, you learn about men, women, you see a lot of depressing shit, people that are lost. But at the same time, the dark side can be exciting. It can feel like you’re cheating death every night. I never enjoyed the taking-the-clothes-off part. You are on a stage with people yelling at you, and you feel like you’re a rock star, but you’re nothing — you’re just a guy taking off his clothes, looking like a fool in a stupid outfit.”

Tatum may be typecasting a bit, but the actor has certainly made the transition from stage to screen look easy. Check out more photos of his editorial below.
