Mad Men does it again.

The nominations for the 2011 Emmy Awards were announced very early this morning, and in spite of the fact that the show’s been off the air for what feels like decades to fans, AMC’s retro powerhouse Mad Men snagged 19 nods, second only to miniseries Mildred Pierce, which recieved 21.

Prohibition-era shock-a-thon Boardwalk Empire racked up 18 nominations, while Modern Family got 17, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for Julie Bowen, and Ed O’Neill for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
